Es una actriz española nacida en Madrid en 1983. Es conocida principalmente por sus trabajos en el cine y la televisión. Estudió interpretación en la Real Escuela de Arte Dramático de Madrid durante dos años. Sus primeros trabajos fueron el la televisión, donde participó de manera esporádica en series como 'Una nueva vida' o 'Paco y Vera'. En 2006 saltó a la fama por protagonizar la película 'Yo soy la Juani', dirigida por Bigas Luna. Por dicho papel fue nominada al Goya a mejor actriz revelación. Posteriormente se ha dedicado básicamente al cine, donde ha participado en películas como 'El patio de mi cárcel' o 'Katmandú, un espejo en el cielo' de Icíar Bollaín. Por ambas películas fue nominada al Goya a mejor actriz principal; además ganó el Premio Gaudí de la Academia del cine catalana a mejor actriz protagonista por 'Katmandú, un espejo en el cielo'. Entre los numerosos reconocimientos que ha recibido destacan el premio a mejor actriz en el Festival de Cine de Málaga por su papel en 'Seis Puntos sobre Emma' y otro a mejor actriz de reparto por la película 'El menor de los males' en el mismo festival. También ha conseguido diversos premios por su interpretación en la película 'Yo soy la Juani', como el de mejor actriz en los Premios de Cine de Barcelona y en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Milán. Además ha estado nominada a diversos premios del Circulo de escritores cinematográficos de España o a los premios de la Unión de actores, además de las tres nominaciones a los premios Goya.
